Facebook pages accumulate enquiries quietly. They arrive on somebody’s personal phone, get half-answered, and are rediscovered a week later when the guest has already booked elsewhere. The page is doing its job — it is the following-up that has no owner.

Connecting Messenger gives those conversations the same handling as every other channel. They appear in the unified inbox, the AI answers the routine ones immediately, and anything needing a person is escalated with the thread attached rather than forwarded as a screenshot.

For markets where Facebook is still the main local channel — much of Europe, Latin America and Southeast Asia — this is often where direct bookings actually come from, which makes an unwatched page an expensive thing to have.

Once Messenger is connected, its conversations behave like any other channel in ProhostAI.

Messenger connects through Meta’s OAuth against the Facebook page you manage.

1. Open ProhostAI and go to Settings → Connections.
2. Search for Messenger and select Connect.
3. Sign in with the Facebook account that manages the page and approve the permissions.
4. Message the page from another account to confirm it reaches the inbox.

• You need to be an administrator of the Facebook page you connect; a personal profile on its own cannot be used.
• Meta limits the window for replying after a person’s last message, so quick first answers matter more here than on email.
• Comments on posts are not messages. Messenger covers the direct conversations rather than public comment threads.
• A page admin can revoke the connection at any time from Meta Business Settings.
